The code 3 project is a flagship project that aims to skill up to eight thousand young people to prepare them to become innovators in the emerging fast paced world of information Technology. The goal of the project is to ensure the creation of a ready pool of young men and women who are equipped to create jobs for others through their innovations, rather than being job seekers themselves. It is a project that aims to build tomorrow’s leaders today and inspire them to greatness against all odds. Code 3 Project seeks to skill up indigent young Nigerians in Creative Intelligence Technology to increase their productivity, inspires innovation and enable them effectively compete in the shifting technology-driven economic landscape. It applies innovative teaching techniques, combining hands-on learning with practical application of knowledge and character-building strategies to engineer positive change. The training curriculum will integrate a combination of mentoring programs with the CIT curriculum. These mentoring programs will include sessions on self-esteem, role modeling, youth leadership, project funding, entrepreneurial skill development, project branding, etc.
The CIT training program will involve five developmental stages divided into tracks in order to accommodate different levels of entry experience. These would include Basic Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office; Development and Design which will modules such as Introduction to Programming, Web Development, Application Development, Graphics and innovative courses that would inspire intelligent technology applications in everyday life.
